Twitter Tips For E-Business

Welcome to the 140 characters world! Twitter is a platform where users share their thoughts, news and all sorts of information in under 140 characters of text. Users "follow" each other to stay updated or talk to specific people or groups.
Twitter has become a main activity field for any eBusiness as it has 288 million users that will follow you if you can give an added value that they need.
In this article I will try to shed the light on some basic tips you can't ignore if you are really willing to establish a solid active account that can attract your targeted users.

Why I should follow you?

- If you want people follow and share what you publish, you need to offer content that worth sharing. Users will just share your content if they feel that they wish if they would have created it.
- Note that Twitter is of-the-moment so users will prefer your up-to-date content.

Retweet is good? Bad? Why do I retweet?

- Another way to capitalize on ongoing conversations is to retweet a content that is relevant to what you offer.
- Retweeting is flattering but take care as it shouldn't be overdone otherwise your followers will go to the main account that you are retweeting from.
- You have to retweet just when you find an interesting content that will help you to add value to your followers in a relevant way with what you offer.

When should I tweet?

- Morning during commute hours are a good time to tweet.
- The prime retweet time is 5 p.m. when most people are on their smartphones after work or school.

#Hashtag

- Twitter is all about Hashtags as they link what you have to say with its corresponding topic.
- Try to insert trending everyday hashtags in your tweets to get higher interaction chances.

Tools? Yes! Get some help!

- One of the best tools to help you to improve your performance on Twitter is Followerwonk as it helps you to explore and grow your social graph.
- Followerwonk powered by Moz.com will answer some important questions like: Who are your followers? Where are they located? When do they tweet and retweet?
